The BDCL Division 1 (Birmingham & District Chess League) is one of the highest-level competitions within the Birmingham and District Chess League, bringing together some of the strongest chess clubs from Birmingham and the surrounding Midlands region. Throughout the season, teams compete in challenging over-the-board matches under official league rules and time controls.
Division 1 provides a highly competitive environment for experienced players and strong club teams. The league features tough opposition, competitive team battles and exciting matches throughout the season.
