The Birmingham & District Chess League Minor League is part of one of the largest and longest-running chess league systems in the Midlands. Bringing together chess clubs from Birmingham and the surrounding areas, the league provides competitive over-the-board chess throughout the season.
Furthermore, the Minor League offers developing and experienced players alike the opportunity to compete in organised team matches under official rules and time controls. As a result, the competition plays an important role in local club chess and player development across the region.
