Visit Longbridge Chess Club
If you’d like to visit us in person, come along to Longbridge Chess Club every Tuesday from 5:00pm onwards. New players are welcome to attend their first few sessions completely free of charge, giving you the chance to meet the club, play some games, and see if the atmosphere is right for you before deciding whether to join.
You’ll be able to play casual games, meet our members and league teams, improve your chess, and enjoy a friendly and welcoming environment. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced player, simply turn up, get involved, and enjoy the games.
Longbridge Chess Club Location
Longbridge Chess Club is proudly based at The Oak Tree in Rednal, Birmingham. Specifically, in the function room downstairs. Our club meets in a welcoming and relaxed venue with a great atmosphere, making it the perfect place to enjoy an evening of chess.
The Oak Tree serves excellent food, cold drinks, and provides a comfortable setting where members can socialise, play competitive games, and unwind with friends old and new.

Longbridge Chess Club meets every Tuesday evening at The Oak Tree, with both our academy sessions and main club night taking place in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Chess Academy, Tuesdays from 5:00PM
Our Chess Academy begins at 5:00PM and is aimed at players looking to improve their game, learn new skills, and develop their understanding of chess in a supportive environment. The academy is ideal for beginners, juniors, and improving players of all ages.
Main Club Night, Tuesdays from 7:00PM
From 7:00PM onwards, the main club night begins, with members gathering for casual games, league preparation, analysis, and competitive chess. Whether you are looking for relaxed social games or serious competition, there is something for everyone at Longbridge Chess Club.
